While academically they go to good schools, due to lack of support from their parents they are not able to hone up or excel in areas outside their usual education.
They need opportunities to build the right cognitive, personal and interpersonal skills.
Equipped with these, the transition to adulthood will become easier and they can confidently face life’s challenges The idea is to create child centric hubs (ages 7-15) that are places for holistic development and mentoring which will promote positive outcomes leading to responsible future citizens of this country.
We want to address the gap between academic education and core life skills.
Therefore a kind of mentoring for social and life skills to ensure confident children. We hope to establish one such centre in every distant suburb from Mira road to Virar.
Each centre will have a library with internet facility(resource centre),weekly extracurricular sessions ,relevant workshops and other skill building activities through art, sport and dramatics and outdoor visits for experiential learning.
We also plan to bring in mentoring on a one to one level to help the children grow. We want our hub to be a child centric process of self discovery
The Foundation’s other arm will provide a holistic approach towards well-being – conduct outreach programs highlighting awareness on health & hygiene, conduct camps for counseling and diagnosis leading to appropriate treatment.
